Overview
talavo is a privacy-focused video browser for iOS. We collect minimal data necessary to operate the app. We do not sell your data, and we do not build advertising profiles about you.
Data We Collect
Device Information
- Device ID — A unique identifier (identifierForVendor) used to manage your account and trial status. This ID is reset if you reinstall the app.
Push Notifications
- FCM token — If you enable push notifications, your Firebase Cloud Messaging token is sent to our server to deliver notifications. You can disable notifications at any time in iOS Settings.
Data Stored Locally
- Browsing history — Stored only on your device. Never sent to our servers. You can clear it at any time in Settings > Clear Browsing Data.
- App preferences — Your settings (theme, Zen Mode options, etc.) are stored locally on your device.
Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services:
- Firebase Analytics (Google) — Collects anonymous usage statistics to help us improve the app. Data includes app opens, screen views, and crash reports. Firebase Privacy Policy
- Google AdMob — Displays ads to non-premium users. AdMob may collect device identifiers and usage data for ad personalization. You can opt out of personalized ads via iOS Settings > Privacy > Tracking. Google Privacy Policy
- Google Suggestions API — Search queries typed in the address bar are sent to Google to provide autocomplete suggestions. These queries are not stored by us.
App Tracking Transparency
talavo respects Apple's App Tracking Transparency framework. We request your permission before allowing any third-party SDK to track your activity across other apps and websites. You can change this at any time in iOS Settings > Privacy > Tracking.
Data Retention
- Device registration data is retained on our server as long as your account is active.
- Local data (browsing history, preferences) is retained on your device until you clear it or uninstall the app.
- FCM tokens are automatically invalidated when you uninstall the app.
Data Deletion
You can delete your local data at any time via Settings > Clear Browsing Data. To request deletion of your server-side data (device registration), contact us at the email below. We will process deletion requests within 30 days.
Children's Privacy
talavo is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
